Alex & Pete’s ceremony was at Watershed Winery in Margaret River. It was a beautiful day, and as the ceremony was quite late on, I was able to get some really romantic couple shots as the sun lowered in the sky. These two are adorable together. The chemistry between them is magic and I think this is really shown in some of the images.
The first phase of Watershed’s construction commenced on 29 November 2001 and was completed in August 2002. This phase involved the construction of a cellar door sales facility, private tasting room, 500 square metre barrel store, administration facilities and cellar door entry road and parking area.
The next phase of Watershed’s development involved the construction of the first stage of the winery. This stage included a 400 tonne wine production facility, laboratory and head winemaker’s office. Construction was completed in February 2003 and the first vintage was undertaken at this facility in 2003.
The second phase of the Winery development was completed in March 2004 increasing crushing capacity to 900 tonnes. The third phase of construction was completed in March 2005 increasing the capacity of Watershed’s winery to crush 1,200 tonnes. The fourth phase of construction was completed in March 2008 and increased the capacity of Watershed’s winery to crush 1,600 tonnes. Watershed’s three barrel stores, occupying 1,500 square metres, typically hold approximately 1,500 barrels. 55% of all barrels used are French oak, 35% American oak and 10% Hungarian oak.
In February 2013 a further 170,000 kl of wine storage capacity was added to the wine production facility taking total wine storage, excluding red fermentation tanks, to 1,570 kl.
In March 2009 Watershed completed the construction of a 1,000sq metre packaged wine storage facility. This can house up to 70,000 cases of packaged wine and is a hive of activity all year round. Watershed bottles the vast majority of its packaged wine on site via a mobile bottling facility.
