Tom got in touch with me through photographers.com.au. He wanted some family portraits in Bridgetown – surprisingly enough! Its nice to know that one of the directory’s i’m with, is actually pulling it’s weight. I actually see photographers.com.au everywhere these days. A directory which has put it’s money where it’s mouth is. In many ways, the internet is too big in terms of being able to search for something simply yet locally, so it’s great for something so accessible to be working like this.

From the moment I spoke to Tom, it was so obvious how much he dotes on his daughters. I am really chuffed by how much this shows in the images. Also what is so apparent, is the closeness between the three sisters, and their love towards each individual’s character. I walked away from this with such a warm feeling inside. Such a beautiful little family.

Highlands is an estate on the outskirts of Bridgetown. I chose this location because I love the dam there. We go swimming in it throughout the summer. It is right next to the bush, and as none of the blocks next to the dam have been sold, the grass is long and seeding, which catches the light on a beautiful summer evening like last evening.
