Carmen and Adam’s Wedding at Hayshed Hill was truly one-of-a-kind. It all began when they first crossed paths when Carmen, originally from the Netherlands, was 18 and visiting Australia. A few years later, they met again when Carmen was back on a working holiday visa, living on the same street as Adam. Their friendship grew quickly through beach trips, cinema outings, and endless conversations. That friendship turned into something more one night at Carnegies Bar when they shared their first kiss.
Their relationship has taken them all over the world, living in England, Canada, and traveling across Europe. Now, they’ve brought their journey to this beautiful moment at Hayshed Hill, ready to start the next chapter as husband and wife.
On a quiet Friday in November 2022, Carmen and Adam set off for a weekend in Margaret River. Adam had a surprise planned: a sunset horse ride, knowing how much Carmen loved horses. After the ride, they dined at their favorite restaurant, Pizzica, and enjoyed an evening with unexpected fireworks. The next morning, during a walk in the Margaret River Forest, Adam proposed to Carmen. They spent the rest of the day celebrating with a private winery tour, capping off a weekend they’ll always remember.
Hayshed Hill, located in the heart of Margaret River, was the perfect place for Carmen and Adam’s wedding. Known for its beautiful vineyards, elegant atmosphere, and top-notch food and wine, it provided an ideal setting for their big day. Nestled among rolling vineyards, Hayshed Hill offers expansive grounds with lush green vines and iconic buildings. The whole place has a sophisticated, welcoming vibe that’s perfect for any celebration. Whether you’re after a scenic outdoor ceremony or a cozy indoor reception, Hayshed Hill has it all.
A standout feature of Hayshed Hill is the amazing food from Rustico Tapas. Guests were treated to a variety of delicious dishes, such as Albóndigas (Spanish meatballs in a rich tomat o sauce), Pintxo Moruno (marinated pork skewers with Moorish spices), Patatas Bravas (crispy potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and aioli), and Gambas al Ajillo (garlic prawns with a hint of chili). The combination of gourmet food and world-class wines ensured an unforgettable dining experience. Hayshed Hill also offers versatile spaces to accommodate different parts of the wedding day. The outdoor lawn area is perfect for ceremonies, as is the vineyard; have your ceremony amongst the vines with a few beautiful trees for good measure. The charming indoor space with rustic wooden beams, a gorgeous array of indoor plants, and sophisticated lighting was ideal for receptions. The flexibility of the venue allowed Carmen and Adam to tailor their wedding to their unique vision, making Hayshed Hill a standout choice for couples looking to tie the knot.
Carmen and Adam’s wedding at Hayshed Hill was a true celebration of their love and adventures. With its beautiful scenery, exceptional food and wine, and warm, inviting atmosphere, Hayshed Hill is the perfect venue for couples looking to create lasting memories. If you’re planning a vineyard wedding in Southwest Australia, Hayshed Hill is the place to be. Cheers to love, laughter, and happily ever after!
