When Ally and Lachy said they were planning a winter wedding, I knew it was going to be something special. Their hearts were set on having a first look at the breathtaking Boranup Forest, and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! The towering trees, that gorgeous canopy above, and the love between these two below—it was pure magic.
Ally, being the style queen she is, was dressed perfectly for the chilly August weather. She rocked a burnt orange fur jacket that popped against the forest backdrop, and paired it with woollen tights and the cosiest furry boots. It was a look that screamed winter wedding in the best way, and kept her toasty warm for those intimate moments with Lachy in the forest. What a way to kick off the day, right?
Now, let’s talk about their adorable pup, Finnegan. He’s such a character and was very much part of the day. But while the cold didn’t faze Ally and Lachy, Finnegan was less enthusiastic! Poor guy wasn’t a fan of the winter chill, but he made up for it with all the cuddles he could get. It was such a sweet sight, watching him curl up with Mum and Dad, keeping warm and close. Honestly, every wedding needs a Finnegan, even if it means carrying an extra blanket for him!
Tiller Farm is the perfect setting to hold the best day of your lives. Situated in Yallingup, between Margaret River and Busselton, this spot brings together the charm of the country with some seriously stylish vibes. Overlooking paddocks that stretch for miles; this 50 acre farm is the perfect place to view the best sunsets! whilst overlooking the farm’s vegetable patches, fields and dams. And Tiller’s ethos of sustainable home grown and locally sourced produce really is the icing on the cake!
And let’s talk about the barn! Those massive barn doors open up to a gorgeous dining area, where the party really kicked off. With the fire roaring and glasses clinking, it was the perfect spot to warm up after the forest. The indoor-outdoor flow made it easy to soak up the views, while also staying cosy indoors by the fire. It’s one of those venues that gives you the best of both worlds—a beautiful country setting with all the comfort and charm you could ask for.
