Janaya & Cam’s Old Broadwater Farm Wedding

How It All Began

Janaya & Cam first met on Tinder in Sydney, had their first date by the water, and made long-distance love work until Cam moved to Perth. They got engaged at a stunning lookout in Yallingup in 2020. Their beautiful wedding was held at Old Broadwater Farm.

Their wedding day was all about relaxed native vibes, perfectly mirroring their easygoing personalities. Nothing over the top, just pure, natural elegance.

Old Broadwater Farm

Janaya and Cam chose Old Broadwater Farm in Busselton town, a venue rich in history and convenience. The farm offers a unique blend of country chic style and modern facilities. Its location in Busselton makes it incredibly convenient for guests, while still providing a remote and serene backdrop for the day. The sunset shoot, done just out the back of the farm, felt like a hidden paradise, yet it was just moments away from the city center.

Old Broadwater Farm boasts stunning gardens, a heritage-listed homestead, and versatile spaces for both ceremonies and receptions. The accommodation is amazing, with the original walls serving as a beautiful backdrop for photography. The fact that everything is on-site means that couples and their guests can enjoy the entire day without needing to leave the venue, making for a seamless and stress-free experience

The Celebration at Old Broadwater Farm

These two were the king and queen of wedding party games, ensuring that their guests had an unforgettable time. The boys kicked things off with a classic Australian tradition—a shoey. For those unfamiliar, a shoey is when someone drinks from their shoe, a true Aussie rite of passage. Keeping the fun going, Janaya and Cam also played the shoe game, where the couple answers questions about their relationship by holding up the corresponding shoe. Even Cam’s dad got in on the action with a shoey during his speech!

Not to be outdone, the girls performed a dance as they entered the reception, bringing their own flair to the festivities. Janaya and Cam’s grand entrance was nothing short of spectacular, setting the tone for an evening full of joy and celebration.

Signature Cake Cut

I couldn’t leave these party people without my signature cake cut! So often, the cake shot is captured with little effort, but the tradition of the cake cutting is such an important part of the celebration. In my opinion, it deserves to be captured with energy and intent. With the entire bridal party involved, and lots of cheering and loudness, this tradition was truly memorable and embodied the spirit of the celebration.

The guests were treated to amazing food by Supper Road, fueling them for a night of partying and fun. As the night went on, laughter and music filled the air, making Janaya and Cam’s wedding a day to remember.

Janaya and Cam’s wedding at Old Broadwater Farm was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and unique Australian traditions. Their story, from a Tinder match in Sydney to a heartfelt proposal in Yallingup, culminated in a day that truly reflected their journey together.
