Want to get off the beaten track and have a memorable country wedding? With so many spectacular wedding venues in the South West, couples have a range of places to celebrate their love immersed in the beauty of our amazing state!

I’ve included all of the key details that will help you narrow down your options. I’ve taken photos in each location and know them well – and I truly love each and every one.

From rolling hills to secluded forests to old-fashioned country towns, you can’t go wrong with any of these venues for your destination wedding! 

2. Linga Longa Estate: Great For Outdoor Ceremonies, Sunset Photos & Partying On Into The Night! 

I love the beauty and solitude of Linga Longa Estate. It’s set on 700 acres near Balingup, along the Blackwood River. If you’re planning either a small or a large wedding in the South West, this is a great choice. We can create some seriously dreamy wedding photos here, with so many EPIC spots to choose from. For outdoor ceremonies, I particularly love the magical Forest Cathedral, where you can say your vows under towering pines. Just get in touch with the lovely owners Bec and Boxer to discuss your options. They are seriously beautiful people and an absolute dream to work with.

Guests can make a weekend out of it with camping facilities – and there are glamping tents available for those who don’t want to pitch their own!

Linga Longa packages are for two nights, but guests can add on additional nights.

Linga Longa is a BYO venue. There is no curfew, but they encourage couples to plan in advance when the evening will end. 
WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN THE WAY OF ON-SITE ACCOMMODATION?
Couples can stay on-site in the gorgeous Bridal Cottage, while guests enjoy camping facilities.

3. Stonebarn: Great for Exclusivity & Partying On Into The Night!

For a private destination wedding, Stonebarn is a good choice, as they only hire out the venue on an exclusive basis. It’s also one of the most unique and unusual wedding venues in the South West, thanks to an on-site truffiére – ideal if you’d love some truffle dishes on your wedding menu.

Stonebarn has luxury accommodation for up to 20 people as well, making it one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in the South West for couples who would prefer not to glamp!

Usually from two to five nights.
WHAT WEDDING PACKAGES DO YOU HAVE
There are a number of packages, ranging between $6,000 (two-night midweek special), $9,800 for two nights (minimum stay), $11,700 for three nights, and $13,200 for five nights.

4. Lewana Cottages: Great for Luxury Barn Weddings, Festival-Style Weddings & Partying On Into The Night!

Lewana Cottages in Balingup is one of my top barn wedding venues in the South West, ideal for country receptions in a unique setting. For a festival styled wedding, many couples bring along food trucks for catering – a super fun and low-stress way to manage food for your reception. 

There are plenty of cute cottages for your guests to enjoy too, so everyone can make a weekend out of it. And if you’re having a slightly larger wedding, then there is also ample space for a camp village. Oh, and it’s full of amazing spots for fun wedding photos! 

HOW LONG DO GUESTS USUALLY STAY?
Guests often stay around two to three nights. 
WHAT WEDDING PACKAGES DO YOU HAVE?
The base package includes cottage accommodation for up to 45 guests for a minimum of two nights, with the use of the entire estate. However, custom packages can be created. 
Catering is provided by the couple, but there’s ample space for food trucks. 
DO YOU DO DIY WEDDINGS?
All weddings here are DIY.

5. Donnelly River Village: Great for Local Heritage, Forested Beauty & Large Weddings Where Everyone Can Stay On-Site

I love the charm of Donnelly River Village, as it really feels like you’re stepping back in time. There are rustic cottages for all of your guests and a large reception venue, plus plenty of gorgeous outdoor areas to say your vows as well. With the friendly wildlife Donnelly River wins the prize for the quirkiest venue!

Originally built in the 1950s for a timber mill, this little village is fascinating – I adore the cute country store and all of the natural beauty found in the area. It’s not five-star luxury, but that’s part of the fun!

There is a noise curfew from 10 pm, if sharing the village with others. There is no curfew if you book the full village.

6. Ampersands Estates: Best for Gin lovers!!! Luxury, Exclusivity, And Customising your wedding to your taste

Our guests usually stay 2 evenings with us.
WHAT WEDDING PACKAGES DO YOU HAVE?
Our two-night wedding package is the most popular and includes 48 hours of exclusive use of the venues, accommodation for up to 24 people, cellar door tasting experience and sales exclusively to wedding guests, parking for up to 100 vehicles and a maximum of 150 guests for the wedding.
DO YOU DO DIY WEDDINGS?
Absolutely.  Ampersand Estates is a DIY wedding venue.  We have a list of local service provides and event coordinators to allow a tailored experience for each wedding.
IS THE VENUE FULLY EXCLUSIVE?
Yes, for 48 hours it is exclusive to the wedding party
WHAT IS THE APPROXIMATE PRICE RANGE?
For our most luxury package that includes everything, its $16,140.
